Staircase for Alia

Located on the westside of Detroit this staircase connects the second floor of a historic Detroit home to a third story art studio. The most challenging part of this project was designing a staircase that could be carried through the tight quarters of an old home and reassembled in an even smaller room all while maintaining structural integrity. To do this the staircase was designed in small doorway sized parts and put back together in the very room.
